Right now I’m really feeling Wool by Hugh Howey. I’ve only read the first novella — which was great, short, and free, so I highly recommend you go read it — and I’m pretty excited to move onto the major story. Also pictured are pearl earrings my aunt gave me for my eighteenth birthday 100 years ago, a miniature bottle of Malabah by Penhaligon’s (it smells like a combination between earl grey and actual heaven on me,) and a “Keep Me” tag that came with a Penhaligon’s sampler box that I bought sometime last year. I soaked the tag in what was left of my Artemesia sampler and like to keep it in my purse. Just open that baby up and get a whiff when you’re feeling down.
Only joking, I’m totally watching. That’s my purse you’re smelling after all.

Mini post today. I’ve gotten a lot of packages in the mail recently one of which included a ruffly backdrop, so I may start doing outfit posts on the weekdays for the hell of it.
These are just a few of the products I carry around with me as purse staples. It’s going to kill me when my Marshmallow rollerball runs out. Everything here is pretty much what I live off of beauty-wise, though I’m still torn on which of my mascaras I’d repurchase in a heartbeat - Buxom or one of my Benefits? Each has its own perks but when I start layering I get droopy sad lashes rather than that glamorous falsie look.

I used to resist springtime ferociously. I hated the sun, the heat, the pastels bringing a swift death to pumpkin, rust and evergreen. But my inner-vamp has found a way to compromise, braiding the dark and light parts of my taste together.
These are my favorite polishes for spring and summer! I’ll be getting a few new Zoya shades in the mail sometime this week though, so I expect my current staples to find some competition in the pale peach and ballerina pink shades I have coming.
